Since the past few days, all I'm hearing are angry rants which is the reaction to my previous post wherein I had mentioned....generalised rather that 'All Men Are Dogs' and they cheat. So, after that, everywhere I went, I was pulled into an animated tirade on how I shouldn't generalise all men. But then ,why not? Now, these are the same male- friends of mine who i) admitted they have cheated previously ii) said they'd not mind sleeping if a hot girl were to hit on them iii) they'd not turn down a job offer if their lady-bosses asked them to sleep for the job. So, now, I conclude that men are not only big time dogs and cheaters....but they also are HYPOCRITES of the highest order!!!
P.S. - Saluting my friend who actually resisted making out wit a hot girl even when she was seducing him, despite being in a semi-drunken state.....only because he loved his girl-friend too much. So, according to my generalisation, he's a cute chi hua hua whereas the others are Alsations!
And men cheat not only in relationships, but also while playing sports and in betting. I'm sure all girls will agree with me on this one that one of the main reasons why girls get only to field and never bat while playing cricket with guys is because this stupid insecurity of the Y chromosome!! And, don't even get down to how much they cheat in betting with innocent girls like me! I'm already 400 bucks down. And considering that I'm betting 100 bucks per match and there are 35 matches more to go.... I'll need a loan to pay for my debts. Which, incidentally are a result of the advantage my friend has as he knows people who tell him who's gonna win the match beforehand! Now, I need better friends who show some chivalry and let me win some money and some bookie friends too!
While talking about cricket, there's one thing I don't understand. Why does the entire world hate Kings XI Punjab?!? Or is it because they know that I love the team and support them that's why they love to irritate me. I mean come on, they are not that bad. Yes, Yuvraj Singh is....but the rest of the team is pretty cool.... they have Irfan Pathan and Brett Lee in one team!!! And.... Irfan Pathan is not GAY! So people please stop hammering that in my ears!! KXIP is gonna won IPL 4..... !!!! I'm sure abput this....anyone wanting to bet 100 bucks on this?!?!

Burnt Chips Of My Heart...!!
I'm back! Well, I was back to blogging right after my exams got over... what I'm trying to say is that I'm back to my old self.. at least a lil bit! Suffered from a major misoandrist phase... but now I'm back to my philoandrist (Word Power Made Easy doesn't confirm or deny the existence of this word) ways!! Become philoandrist from misoandrist after one of my friends gave me a 30 min WTF-is-wrong-with-you lecture as I had changed the channel thrice when Irfan Pathan's interview was going on!! Yeah, you read it right... it was Irfan Pathan... THE IRFAN PATHAN!!! So, now I'm back... it was a phase, which I'm done with now. Rao, you can dance in joy.... for once your prediction came right about a girl's behaviour! And Aanch, relax, I've stopped walloing in self pity!
Anyways, my interest in IPL is BACK!! (Never minding the fact that right now, KXIP are 111-8 in 17.4 overs......... and Brett Lee just walked back to the pavillion.... err and Karan Goel just got run out too.... damn!!) My interest returned on the eve of the CSK vs KXIP match... yeah the mother of all matches for Aanch and me... and as usual, for the fourth time in a row, we lost. But atleast this time, there was a very tough fight... even to the extent that Aanch called me to congratulate for my team's victory.... we'd have won... if not for bloody Suresh Raina... and this was one of the few matches wherein I prayed and prayed for Yuvraj to keep batting! (I hate him, BTW) and I sooooooooo loved Manpreet Gony in this match! Keep misfielding!
Now, you might wonder, if I hate the captain and the owner (scroll down to see why) of the team, do I still support this team. Well for this simple reason....
Illustrated by pics.... a result of 5 hours of googling, rediffing and a lil help from a friend.....
I was sick of seeing these two... Irfan Pathan and Brett Lee in two different uniforms.... fighting against one another... and what's worse is when either of them takes the other's wicket... or hits the other outta the park... whom to cheer and whom to abuse under my breath was this major problem, solved by KXIP.... same uniform ... same goal... same cheering...same abusing..!
(As I'm typing, Irfan just bowled a maiden.... no not me... a maiden over...And Brett Lee got Jayasariya out....yooo!!! yipeee!!!) This is why, even though I pray Irfan Pathan goes to some other team which is winning, I wouldn't really like it! What I like is this:

Gosh! This picture took 4 hours 55 minutes of my 5 hours of searching!! Seeing them hug after they won the Deccan match was such heart touching moment! I mean Irfan hugging Brett....Ok.. I'll shut up now! (That bloody Appam C... can't really call him Sreesanth now, after the Fake IPL player blog... fucking gave 21 runs in an over?!?!)
Now, to Brett Lee and Irfan Pathan, add Shaun Marsh.... and what you get is an awesome Aussie Indo curry!!

Ain't he cute?!? And the way he fired last year! Man!! BTW, where's he this year... isn't the Pak-Aus series over?
Now, we come to why I hate the owner.... Priety Zinta... look at this:

Firstly, she has (had actually: didn't you notice the two of them sitting separately during the matches and the gossips in Mumbai Mirror?) Ness Wadia: Well, He's HOT! I mean, the intelligent, corporate-business tycoon type hot you know!!
See, won't this hurt?!? To borrow from Chetan Bhagat's One Night @ Call Center, I may use the lines and the example... it feels like someone's cutting chips like those of potato of my heart!!
Now, it feels like the heart potato chips are being fried in oil.... real hot, burning oil....!!!
No no... stick more!! Bloody!!I'm a die hard fan of Irfan.... I can KILL Priety for this one!! The oil is BURNT ... the chips are BURNT and you can't distinguish charcoal from my these chips made from my heart... God! Why!! I was happy being a misoandrist..... You do this to me after I come back to my philoandrist ways!?!?? WHY?!?!? And still even after all the emosanal atyachar, I'm the only loyal supporter of the team, and I'll not stop supporting this team as long as the trio...Marsh, Lee and Pathan are in the team!! I can choose to ignore Priety!
P.S 1: What's with today kids... I mean 15 year olds?? They don't find Brett Lee and Ness Wadia hot?!??! Yeah, I'm refering to my kid cousin's choice in men! Whom she likes is Zac Efron... eww he's gay!! Trust me, she almost killed me with her look when I said this to her... !!
P.S 2: My other kid cousin, 7 years, couldn't get Brett Lee's name right... he kept calling him Breath Lee for some reason... and he pretty much gave me a very reasonable answer for calling him so... he said, Didi, he takes your breath away na... so Breath Lee!! See, I tell you, craziness runs in my family!!
P.S 3: Aanch, this one's for you.... but promise me, you'll not talk about Nauman to me...!! He's gay... and he sucks... he may have won Roadies.... but he didn't win respect! So enjoy the feast... Binga and Mitchell Johnson together... with a lil of Shaun Marsh sprinkled behind!!
P.S. 4: KXIP lost.... It's ok...

IPL 2
I'm bored... and IPL is worsening it . I dunno what's with this year's IPL... but it's just not happening! There's no adrenaline in the matches... no last ball finishes... no one fights about their teams... no controversies..nothing.. only interesting thing about the IPL is the Fake IPL player blog... it's really interesting... fake or whatever..!! I know it seems unreal....but I've stopped watching Mohali's matches too... yeah I don't watch the match except for a few minutes of Irfan!! BTW, Lucky, Mohali, whom you laughed at on IPL Day 1, is number 3 on the rankings table... ahead of your Mumbai Indians..!! Hehaw..hehaw!!! (Please take off those Call MI player ads... Sachin irritates!!) There's no Cricxchange on Orkut too this year... last year I made a lotta money in it..would've hleped me beat this recession...but alas!!
Money reminds me that I finally will earn money to buy those new white pumps I've lost my heart to for the last few days...!! I'm working as a art, craft and dance assistant teacher at a playgroup for 3 year olds!!! Trust me, there's a dual irony in this.. first one being that I'm teaching art, craft and dance.... the least creative and most maladroit of all people, teaching all this is a JOKE...!! And secondly... I'm teaching kids.... OK... the only non-girly trait left in me is that I hate kids...!! OK.. I used to... now the dislike has reduced... they're cute... and most importantly they listen to you and they OBEY..! You ask them to stop crying and keep quiet , they actually do that without complaining, without questioning, without answering back (they hardly talk, you know!). But the most important thing that I've learnt from these kids is that they're far more mature than we can ever be.... they have no ego...they may fight amongst themselves one minute and the next, they'll be playing together... no need to say sorry... no buttering others' egos...just nothing... wish we, so called "adults" could behave with even half the maturity they show..! Anyways, all the baby-sitting deals I struck with Mom, my sis, Rads and Aanch will be cancelled... guess, now I can take care of my kids!
BTW, did you vote?? I didn't .... and I'm feeling very horrible about it... I mean I know whatever I'll say would be a lame excuse but... I seriously didn't have the time for the registeration... and the Govt.office work due to my already screwed TY..! Lame excuse, I told you... but next election, I'll definitely register myself..! But why on Earth was the marking on the middle finger?!?!? An irony to show how much you care for your city/country, I presume!
The most optimistic thing that I must've done in the past year and half is that in only 15 days after my TY exams got over, I gave away all my notes...!!! Without even waiting for the results to confirm if I'd be reappearing in October or no... ! And my duur ka cousin whom I handed my notes too was scared if he'd be able to finish off all the notes starting studying from now.... and my response was given in a better way by Mom... who started laughing and said, "She did it in one month... trust me.... you'll top, if she as much as passes!" Huh... this confidence booster made me rethink my decision of giving away my notes before the results.. I might need it!
Actually, I was writing another post, but then I chucked it and wrote this... I mean, I didn't wanna bore you again with a post on Gujju weddings... I had attended..err was forced to attend one last week...and was made to anwer questions like "So what're you gonna do now...", "What job do you wanna do...", "Why're you leaving Biotech.... it's good (this coming from people who don't even know what Biolosy is..leave alone Biotech....!)" and the most lethal of all.... "So, are you gonna get someone... or Bhai/Bhabhi have to find someone for you??" I mean, wouldn't that be best left between my parents and me to decide... in all probabilities, they'll have to find me someone... I've gone past my college days to get someone!! And in any case guys today.... they suck... bigtime...atleast the ones I fall for!! (Ankit, Ajay... don't bother with the grammatical and vocabulary errors of the sentence, please!)
I'm bored... yawn... yawn... OK.. I'll go watch Mohali's match...
Until next time.. keep reading my blog and commenting (if you've done your bit in this... there are 100 odd posts more waiting in line to be commented...) So tchaoooooooo!!
PS: The title is misleading...hehaw!

One Free Sunday... Please!!
I hate Paulo Coelho more than I hate the bitch who ruined my life in junior college. What was he thinking when he said, " When you want something, entire universe conspires to give it to you". I mean what was he in? K-Jo movie? Where everything is perfect? According to my Anti-Paulo Coelho theory, I have stated, "When you wnat something, entire universe conspires to give you everything but IT"! I mean it's so damned true.
On Saturday... on the eve of IIFT exam, my last exam on a Sunday, I thought, that finally next week, next Sunday, I'll hav the first free Sunday after 18 May when I can get up at 11, laze around the entire day.. watch dumb movies, and be online the whole day.... I was looking forward to my FIRST FREE SUNDAY where I wouldn't be giving an exam or checking results, or mentally appraising percentiles and city ranks....but alas.... Mr. Universe had other plans! My classes had to start mock CETs. Can't they give one free Sunday?? Just ONE?!? I came from IIFT exam at 12...and then went to give CET at 1.30. What a day! Two exams in one day... trust me ...both sucked, BTW!! This is when I feel that Paulo Coelho was mistaken. Terribly mistaken.
Now, I really have begun to hate Dhoni. I mean why on earth doesn't he want Irfan to come back? Every player has his ups and downs... as a captain you gotta give them a chance. Dhoni, if you could give others a chance.. why not Irfan... ?? After all, it was the added batting pressure that killed Irfan the bowler. Get Irfan back... or else I'll start an online petition... don't laugh..I'm serious.. it's been ages since I saw him in the Team Blues! Get Irfan Back!!
Yeah we seem to be winning this 22-22 match!! Yipee!!! India can make the series 4-0 now!! Yay!!

Sayonara... Astala Vista....Aavjo...Alvida...Bye!!!
There's a good news and a bad news for you. Which one do you wanna know first... Good or Bad?? Er.. Well, I'll decide, because you can't answer!! The Good news is that this is my LAST (*sob sob*) post until CAT and the Bad news is that this departing post is gonna be really really long. So no need to take your sedatives, if you're used to taking them for sleep. There's so much to say these days....! Ah! Haven't spoken to anyone from the Homo sapiens species since weeks! (Not counting the various positivity lectures I've been giving)So am back to my new best friend...my blog! Now, my blog didn't have much of a choice in being forced to be my best friend!! Finally managed to get one imaginary, non living friend in this lifetime!! My blog also doesn't have an option, unless the Celeron or Dual Core or whichever processor I have realises that it can hang itself to save it from the torture(Figured the pun... no... dyslexic? or Sonal Chauhan IQ types??)!! But not everyone has the brains na!!!
Now, I've been talking about CAT ever since I started blogging, but the main question remains ...why do I talk about CAT when I'm not too serious about it this year?!? I mean, yeah, I've been studying on and off for it since a year, but I'm still not seriously giving it.This is my graduation year, so kinda held up with it (I'm not studying for it citing CAT reasons is a different story altogether!!). The thing this year is that Ãf I get a decent enough score this year in any of the CAT/CET/SNAP/IIFT/NMAT, I'll take it.... if not, work for a year at Ankita's (Anki... please don't take the job away, you promised me....giving economy crisis as a reason... I'm banking on you babes!!) or maybe do a diploma in writing or something like that and then give CAT again and have my sis teach me Quants. Or rather, much simply, just ask her to go and give my Quant paper in CAT in 09... I'll give DI and Verbal myself. I dare not ask her to do Verbal for me. Engineer afterall!! Thier verbal is as good as my Quants! I tried asking her to give my exam for this year...but she refused...she says she wants to study for her exams!! Why isn't there a Raksha Bandhan for sister-sister... I could blackmail her yaar!! So if CAT does come out of the sack, good for the IIM's for I'll go there, otherwise, it'll have to wait! (So much for optimism!!)
Don't know why but this IIM bug has come again...for some reason. I had made peace with the fact that I may never go there...(there's something called as DREAMS and something called as REALITY.... and never the twain shall meet) I'm not being pessimist, just being pragmatic. Yeah, about the IIM-A bug biting again... it was this one pic of IIM-A lit at night that I just saw in one of the blogs I was reading and I just felt... Ah! Nirvana!! Ok... no more dukhi CAT stories! Maybe I'll encourage my sis hard enough for that one IIM seat for herself... maybe then can I wash off my sins for not letting her take a drop and go to Kota for her IIT-JEE.
I'm watching a lotta movies these days saw Andaz Apna Apna for the zillion raised to infinitieth time, for an hour only, but still, that counts! Saw the ending of Taare Zameen Par and got shivers down my spine. I was just wondering that reverse TZP is happening with me! I was a rather intelligent(modesty be damned!) kid bachpan main, but now I feel I've become dyslexic!! It's so difficult to comprehend (read rather) the question papers these days!! And more difficult to comprehend my friends' jokes!!
I also saw U Me Aur Hum... the entire movie. Saw it for the first time... and I loved it.... it was so touching. Shit!! Although it was a bit like the Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler starrer 50 First Dates, it wasn't totally lifted. It was so touching to see a guy care so much for his wife, who forgets him every third second. Creepy... to forget things!! I can say this by experience, because I always prided myslef as being a person who'd remember even my best friend's friend's boyfriend's best friend's birthday (Yeah, I've actually remembered this guy's birthday!) and now, I've started forgetting my close friend's birthdays...and they have to call up and ask me the date 5 times before I register!! Dyslexia...Amnesia...Alziemer's?? No, Schizophrenia, my friends would say!! And now I forgot Irfan Pathan's birthday(I remembered after 2 days!!)!! I mean how could I forget HIS birthday!!??!! I just hope the people whom I've tortured into remembering my birthday aren't reading this!!
Coming back to UMAH, if you haven't watched it, please do. It's not a masala type movie, but a very romantic one... realistic too, a bit. And Kajol's acting is worth a million bucks... The scenes when she forgets-remembers-forgets are enough to give you chills. Check the scene when she forgets her baby in the bathtub and the baby drowns... and also the scene when she asks her hubby to let her abort the kid... after she's had the kid. She also forgets she's pregnant in the labour room! OMG!! Chilling!! And the title song has the best lyrics I've heard in a long time... Apne rang gawaen bin, mere rang mein ghul jao, Apni dhoop bujhaye bin, meri chhao mein aa jao Oh chalo yoon kare,Tum, tum bhi raho, main, main bhi rahoon Hum, hum bhi rahein Oh tum, tum bhi raho, main, main bhi rahoon Hum, hum bhi rahein Teeno mil ke saath chale Saathi janam janam, u me aur hum..... I cried in the movie...and I don't cry in movies!! I didn't even cry watching SRK die in Kal Ho Naa Ho... when my crush on SRK was at its peak!! Actually my crush on SRK was at its peak for 5 years.... all through secondary school!! So it was more like a plateau peak!!! Now, I don't want a guy who can sing on a guitar to woo me... I'd rather want a guy who'd be ready to woo me everyday.... everytime I forget him, If I were to... By now you would've guessed where the fantasy to woo me with a guitar came from... SRK...DDLJ... his mandolin... A mandolin is like a gareeb's insaan's guitar man! So I wanted a guitar (classy, ain't it?) and no sarso ke khet.... a high end restaurant would do!!
Now I've been watching movies(one full + 2 quarters!), sleeping a lot and studying and hardly talking these days (my phone's always in a remote corner of the house... and my bloody Samsung ringer is so faint that I can't hear it anyways!)....sure signs of: I'm bored, lonely and depressed. Depressed about exams, bored of exams and lonely at home... of being alone at home when your family is holidaying!! Shit man... I'm regretting the decision of not going with them... my friends are addding salt to injury by chiding me for not going,my parents literally begged but I said CAT... and my mom was like. ... You aren't even giving it seriously then why study?!? Ah! My parents are so cool about my CAT and here I am rotting my brains over it, unneccessarily! My Mom also remarked that after this holiday, there won't really be time for all of us to hang out together and I rubbished the idea saying there's so much time...(I feared it would go down the *shaadi* topic again!) but seriously... where's the time??? My MBA... my sis's Engg then her MBA and THEN shaadi.. where's the time?!? And I don't even remember the last time we holidayed together... if those chindi weekend trips to Lonavla and the likes aren't taken into account. Had gone to Goa last.... in the summer of 2006!! Then in 2007 (freak been almost 2 years?!?!?)I went to US alone as my sis couldn't bunk her IIT classes and now they've gone alone as I cannot not prepare for CAT. And I'm not even doing that... I'm blogging!! Ah! Come soon folks...!!
One thing I observed is that one should never marry outside their languages. I'm not a narrow minded bigot or anything, infact I'm so cool about inter-caste marriages that my *aunties* think that I have a non Gujju boyfriend, also because I'm always taking my cousins' side when they talk about their non Gujju love interests! I said so, because it's so frustrating to not be able to follow the language your guy's relatives talk in!! All you can do is wait for one English or Hindi word to be able to guess the rest of the sentence! You don't even know if your ma-in-law is bitching about you... you might be smiling all the while when she'd look at you and talk!! Well, these are just assumptions... the real thing might not be the same! Don't ask me... I'm the most inexperienced person where relationships are concerned!
The third Test has started between India and Australia. I know people who know me know that I don't really like Dhoni like I like Irfan... but I like that guy's leading ablities.... he's cool, he's smart, he's shrewd, he knows how to get things from players, how to respect them, how to chide them when they err, how to give it back to opponents and critics and out of work until employed by Hindi news channels ex-cricketers.... but most importantly he has faith and confidence in his players... something I respect him for! Hail Dhoni!! So now, why are they still going in with Kumble..? He's a great guy... but there's a greater guy present yaar! I really like Gautam Gambhir... he so cute... he looks like a rabbit... cho chweet!! And I loved the way he hit Watson while taking his run... I loved Watson too, during IPL, but I can't like him if he ain't playing for anything Indian. Good going Gauti.... Keep it up.... and the anger on your face when you said: Fucking Shit... to Watson made me say: Hai...main waari jaava!! Keep slamming the Aussies...both with the bat and the elbow!
Brett Lee ain't playing well, Irfan's not in the team (I can imagine Paras chaffing about it to me)... so no reason to watch the match. It's a Test Match anyways. But there was a time in my life when I was such a cricket fanatic that I had seen test matches ball by ball!!! One more thing my *aunties* thought would not get me a good guy. I say... this was one reason that WOULD get me a good guy... I mean which guy wouldn't want his girl who'd not stop him from catching a match?? I'd give him company... If he decides to quit watching cricket completely unable to control the jealousy wouldn't be my fault!!! And I don't know why my cable wallah doesn't broadcast Neo Sports... first he'll put movies like Girlfriend and Ab Bas types on cable and second he won't show me matches! I'm switching on to Dish TV... Don't be santusht!! At least that'll give SRK some more pennies in his over flowing bank account... if his ICICI account hasn't duboed in the recent crisis!
You won't believe it... people are actually buying my engineers-are-responsible-for-the-economy-crisis theory!!!(all of them are non-engineers was the reading between the lines I wanted you to do, but if you've reached this far in the post, I guess you are as dyslexic as I am hence the explanantion) So, can I expect the Nobel Prize for Economics next year....?!? please??
All you out-of-work/vella/free people.... go back to your work!!! The story's over!! Bye! I'll come back on 17th November... with how the CAT screwed 98% of the people who wrote it (the other 2% got in ....dumb!!) and a review of Dostana... I HAVE to watch it on 16th!! John...!!! Ah!! I still maintain that he looks better with clothes on!! I don't like six pack abs ...they're beefy and look so fake.... one reason I shifted from SRK to Imran Khan!! SRK... get back to singing on a guitar this time... you might win a fan (back).
Now, I've been talking about CAT ever since I started blogging, but the main question remains ...why do I talk about CAT when I'm not too serious about it this year?!?

Googly, Google and Goggles!!!
No, this isn't my way to practice alliteration, they're are the three things that are keeping the heat of this summer at bay! We'll begin with Googly... (obviously going by the thing I have for cricket) There's a show called NDTV Good Times Googly coming on NDTV Good Times. This show shows the cricketers off the field, what they do while chilling with other cricketers. Some of 'em sing, play the guitar, basically they do everything to make me wonder why I wasn't there hosting the show! I definitely think I would have done a fantabulous job(I would even promise not to hit on the cricketers!) Its such a good show, I guess its one of the best things to have happened to TV since SRK, Sarabhai V/S Sarabhai and IPL!! And the channel NDTV Good Times is the only watchable channel today... although it makes you feel like the most penurious person to have walked on Earth!
We now come to Google... Enough has been said about Google and I don't wnat to sound banal by repeating the same things. Google has brought the world at our fingertips!
Goggles.... well, I'am not one of the lucky ones on whom glares(sorry, but "goggles" to me sounds ultimately middle class!)suit all thanks to my small face! But I feel glares are the best way to beat the summer sun! Ah! How I wish I could wear those! Nonetheless, I feel I have saved a great deal of money!! Maybe my guy can add the money I saved to the money he'd spend on my RING! Wow! Now that was some good money planning! IIM-A.... are you listening?!

The Ring
I saw Jannat last week.... yes its true... I actually had the verve and nerve to voluntarily go for an Emraan Hashmi flick in a theatre which stripped me off 120 bucks! Guess the cricket in it drew me.. or maybe the fact that it was declared a hit. Well I guess I should give my readers some respite from cricket(But I'm missing it!!).
Yeah so coming back to Jannat... it was a cute movie, a bit too Hindi filmy types at times especially with Hashmi's match predicting prowess....He should've been a selector if he could predict so well! Sonal Chauhan only looks pretty.... she can't act! And like my friend Lakshmi said, she has major registration problems(coz she had to do a "huh" for everything Hashmi said)!! Its so much fun watching movies with her... she has a wise crack for every scene(Lakshmi, not Chauhan!). The movie was otherwise well made. The only unpardonable thing in the movie was the slaughter of the "Lambi Judaai" song! But,I must say the the way "Zara sa" was executed was aah so cute! The best scenes of the movie, to me, were the ones where Emraan breaks the glass window of a jewelry showroom because Sonal loved a particular "ring" and another scene where Sonal rues that for employees not having their own car have to travel by the company vehicle. What we next see is Emraan buying a brand new black Honda Accord for her and the "ring"! Wow! A guy like this wouldn't hurt! I so felt like going and standing outside a jewelry showroom!! An uncut solitaire diamond on white gold with sapphires around it is all I ask for... is it asking for too much???I guess not!
The movie shows how the "ring" is the unifying and breaking factor between the two and how Hashmi dies because of the "ring". This makes me suggest the Bhatt's to remake "The Ring" in Hindi!! Sorry for the poor joke! While we're still talking about the ring, I'm so glad I found my ring(gold, not the one I aforementioned!)which I dropped while playing with it and forgot to pick up later on, with my mom and spy sis not noticing it, because had this happened I sure would've been the haunting factor in the Bhatt's "The Ring" version!!(Sorry again for the deteriorating quality of jokes!).
P.S: I'm still wondering why did Aanchal feel like crying while watching this movie?? Pray, tell me!

Some serious withdrawal symptoms!!
The IPL's over!! For me it was virtually over when Punjab was pulverized by Chennai... but that's another sad story :( Now that I've been advised to get over the loss and move on in life, I've began to wonder.... can we ever get over the phenomenon called IPL? I guess not!
I know it sounds preposterous, but IPL, over the past month and half had become such an integral part of our daily schedule that its going to be a Herculean task to move on to other things in life and especially on TV.... considering its moribund state as of now! We might now, sometimes switch on Set Max at 8 only to find some OTT hero dancing around a tree in a bid to woo his love! I wonder how did this ever work! But how is life gonna be minus IPL... that would mean no fighting with Aanchal over Chennai or Hetvi for Mumbai... that would mean receiving no HAHA messages when Punjab would lose... that would mean no ogling over the cute Aussie hunks!! Ouch! This is gonna hurt!
IPL is surely gonna be missed..... please come soon next year and yeah come after all the zillion entrance exams of mine are over..... I surely don't want to ruin my career coz keeping that TV set off is gonna be more difficult than resisting molten Hershey's! (The irony of life is that I don't get both!!)

LOST!!!!
No, I haven't taken to watching LOST again.... I saw just one season and that was about it! What I'm referring to here is the pulverization at the hands of Chennai Super Kings.... Yes its hard to accept, but Punjab lost.....!! I guess it was their most egregious day on the field.
I am feeling so drained right now.... seems like I've lost the zest to live! I know it was just a match but what is keeping me petrified is the taunting that I'm gonna face once my classes resume.... I've started getting those "Haha ...Punjab lost" messages!!! Life is so bad!! Life is so mean!! Life is so unfair!! But come what may I'll always stand by the players I like... Irfan, Brett and Marsh...... hoping that they remain in the same team next year!! I'll always support them...atleast they had a wonderful tournament....! And I'm sure next year we'll lift the trophy next year, however bizzare the trophy may look! After all haar kar jeetnewale ko hi baazigar kehte hain....

On buying a cricket team
If you've been reading my blog(IF, that is!) you'd have noticed the amount of bhav cricket and Irfan have got! Since the day Punjab won its first match, I've been jealous of Priety Zinta... first of all, she has the money to buy a cricket team, second of all, she gets to get so up close and personal with all the cricketers(Read Irfan, Brett and Shaun),third of all she has Ness, fourth of all she has such dimples to die for!
In the last match against Jaipur, I went green looking at the hugs Priety was giving the cricketers.... ah.... it hurt! Thank you, Set Max for being empathic enough not to show her hugging Irfan! That made me take a prann that I'll buy a cricket team when I get rich!(Wishful thinking, I know!!) So when HAN India Pvt.Ltd (Co-owned by Hetvi, Aanchal and me) reaches the Fortune 100 companies' list, we'd definitely buy a team! To avoid Aanchal and me splurging the entire money on Dhoni and Irfan respectively, we'd have Hetvi to keep a tab on us and my friend Rao to advice us on whom to buy(looking at the profits he's raking in the CricXchange!!) I mean buying a cricket mean would be soooo cool! Atleast it would mean not sitting on those godforsaken seats!!!
My dream team would include
Virendra Sehwag
Adam Gilchrist
Gautam Gambhir
MS Dhoni
Shaun Marsh
Shane Watson
Yuvraj Singh
Irfan Pathan
Brett Lee
Glenn McGrath
Shane Warne
Deadly team na!! Obvio, it is! I'm not a fool to waste my money na!!!

Match in the stadium....!
Yeah yeah I know this should've come earlier but I was suffering from a massive writer's block so I'm writing about it now! Well I had gone for the Mumbai-Chennai match at Wankhede on the 14th of this month, ofcourse at the behest of my Dhoni crazy friend Aanchal!
Mobile phones were not allowed so we had no other option to smuggle them via our socks and shoes, this did generate marvel from some of the guys at the stadium! But what was the use of carrying phones when nobody clicked pics(mine, to be more specific!) We were in the West stand and the only two players whom we could see were Bravo and Gony (Aanchal was going crazy at the mere sight...{hindsight} of Gony) The match was ok, I mean it was prety much a one sided affair. Had I know that the Punjab Mumbai match was going to go down to the last ball, I'd have never let them force me into the Mum-Chen match! And yeah to top it all, Irfan was fielding near the West stand, so all the oppurtunnity I had in life to see him LIVE went down the Arabian sea! My heart still cries silenty at night thinking of having missed to see Irfan, who'd have been so clear otherwise! So am just being hopeful that I get to see him again!God please....!!
The atmosphere was so electrifying right from the minute we enteredd in... the beating of the drums, the flurrying of the Mumbai Indians flag(yeah I know I thought I'd never support them, but one evening is ok na!!) It was so magical..... it makes me want to marry a cricketer!! Irfan, are you listening?!!?
But the worst part about watching matches in a stadium is ofcourse the stink from people's sweat but the biggest problem is the seat! Damn they hurt! Especially to people who have a non existent ass! Guess people at Wankhede havent heard about "cushioned" seats! One more irritating thing was the presence of just one gate(I think there was just one, looking at the crowd that was gathered near the gate!) for exit.... it so seemed like Jallianwala Bagh.... Thank God there was no Gen.Dyer!
All in all it was a fun filled evening, I danced, sang "ala re", cheered Sachin for the first time in my life, shouted in Aanchal's ears when Chennai started losing, passed comments on the players, did everything and it was fun even though it wasn't a Punjab match,..... Loved it!! What we did after the match at Hetvi's place is well...hmm.... you should better ask the poor poeple whom we called at 5.30 in the morning to find out if they had heard of Kalamati, the chudail who snatches and drinks milk from your dudhwala, making you pay the milk bills later on! Sorry Abhishek, Jay, Ankita and Ankit... it was really sweet of you to pick the phone atleast at that unearthly hour!

Painting the world RED!!!
I'm over the moon!!! yaaahhhhh!! For those of you who are wondering why.... here's the reason why...... First of all, Punjab Kings XI WON!!!! Yipeeeee! And it won against Mumbai....It was again people against me! And my team won, even though just by 1 run, victory in the end was ours! But I had to take this happiness wth a pinch of salt...... Irfan was fielding near the West Stand at Wankhede!!! Nahiiiiii....... I had gone for the Mum-Chennai match there and was in the same stand and the player fielding near the stand was the most clearly visible player!! Hard luck, I know... maybe next time!! But all in all my boys in RED won!! yo!! We're in the Semis!
Moving on to other good news.... Red Devils won!!! Yipee..... Man U won the Champions League playing against Chelsea in a nail biting match! The goal C.Ronaldo scored was worth a million bucks! But i guess he's going to Real Madrid.... so time to change loyalties..... maybe no! There migt be some other cool dude coming in Man U!All in all Man U won both the EPL and CL!
Its RED all the way this season!!

MSD For PM 2009!!!
Keeping up with the IPL fever, I decided to dedicate this write up on IPL. And by gauging the response that I normally get when I talk about Cricket (Read:Irfan Pathan and Brett Lee!!!) I decided to go in for some aberrations!!
Well the people who know me will vouch for the fact that MSD isn't a player I'd cheer for, but yet he has something in him that is compelling me to write on him. He never appealed to me... not of all his blonde coloured mane, which he had when he first arrived on the circuit. The blitzkrieg 183 made me feel like asking the Govt. for a national holiday!
But really appealed to me was his natural ability to lead... It came so effortlessly to him! I'm sure his calm-as-a-silent-ocean demeanour will be stuff that people emulate. The fact that he goes by his instincts just adds to his rustic appeal. Of course those who say "Fortune favours the brave" haven't been just gaffing! He backs his team and has faith in them and stands up for them a la Sourav Ganguly. And the fact that he doesn't mince words is his best quality.... He wanted no seniors,he had it. They said he wouldn't get the T20 World Cup, after all how can he when the team with the seniors failed, how would the inexperienced "young" side get it? He maintained a dignified silence and let the Cup that he got back home do the talking! Not bad, I must say! The ability to keep his cool and to be able to THINK in crunch situations is gifted and MSD has it along with the flamboyance of a leader!
The main reason why I admire MSD is not for all the aforesaid things, but just one thing.... the ability to give it back to people and not take any bullshit from them! Remember the post match speech to Ravi Shastri after lifting the WC.... that's the thing that I look in people.... to be able to be politically incorrect, but in style! How I wish MSD succeeded Dr.Singh as the PM, I'm sure id this happens India will be a global power by 2010 and not the expected 2020, just like his style to finish of things fast! (There won't be a lacuna in the team with his departure, Irfan, I'm sure will be a worthy successor!!!!)
P.S: Aanchal, this is your wedding gift!! Don't expect anything materialistic from me on YOUR DAY as I believe in giving personalised gifts as such....!!!
