Of Growing Up and Twilight, Harry Potter and Other Casualties

There was a time when I was crazy about the Twilight series. And by crazy, I mean the mad crazy levels where one needs rehab. And I have written about it too! But then between finishing reading the series almost 3 years back and now, a lot of growing up has happened, which makes you laugh at your once-upon-a-time choices. It started last year when I saw Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1 with a friend who had no clue about the Twilight series and and when I explained the story, the look I got from my friend was like was well, rather not be explained! Obviously, what would you get when you tell a person that you were crazy behind a book who's story was about a love triangle between a vampire, a human and a werewolf. And the human chooses the vampire over to werewolf and the dejected werewolf turns into a pedophile falling for the human and vampire's kid! Yes, it sounds funny, but read the books. They would make you want to get rehab! They're so addictive. Anyways, so since I was over Twilight, I thought I'd see the last installment of the series, Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 only to laugh about it. And laugh on me. The movie was strictly ok. Because there was only Bella in it and so less of Edward Cullen. Who wants to watch Twilight for Bella?! And in the middle of cursing the director for too much of Bella (I was wondering if Kristen Stewart had an affair with this director too. Does this sound like I read a lotta tabloids... Damn!) yeah, so digressions apart, amidst wondering why I liked Twilight at all, there came this song in the last 5 mins wherein they showed a flashback of all the 4 movies, and my long lost love for Edward and Twilight resurfaced with full force! Ah! Old romances do die hard! There's just something about 'forever' that make women go weak in their knees. Maybe that's why the diamond companies position diamonds as things that are there forever!

Growing up has a lot of casualties. Like one was not liking Twilight anymore. Another is that you stop sugar coating your words while giving advice. Have too many close friends dealing with 5-6 years of relationships breaking down. So earlier, when hope, faith, be positive would do the trick, you're now telling them to just accept that it's over and move on. People find it weird to listen to it from a person who believed in YRF romances and Twilight of course! Well, growing up does that to you. Changes your outlook in life. But, sometimes life isn't a bed of roses. Sometimes, to cure a wound, you just need to have a firm hand, cut and suture. Like a surgeon. (Yes, there's too much of Grey's Anatomy in my blood right now. You can't blame me. McDreamy is hot. Denny was hotter, though. They should have taken a better looking Meredith! Just like how Top Gun would've been much better with a better looking actress.)

Also, SRK had sent out a nice tweet which I feel is very true when Yash Chopra passed away, which was something like, when someone dies, a part of you dies with that person. Well, that's kinda true. Not just with death. With every person who was there in your life at one point and isn't there anymore, that person takes a part of you with him/her while leaving. A part of you kinda dies. Not in a very creepy Horcrux way though. (Horcrux what? Well, oh yeah, I 've been a Harry Potter fan too :P)

I read this interesting article about being in your 20s. And there was this one point that was so freaking true. It goes like 'You’re going to lose touch with a lot of your friends. With some people, it will be expected but with others it will feel like a punch to the stomach. No friendship is truly safe in your twenties. You’re undergoing so many personal and professional changes that there’s bound to be some casualties along the way. Don’t worry though. You’ll end up with the ones that matter. If someone’s no longer in your life, it’s for a reason.'  And this practically sums up your friends equation between beginning your life in 20s and ending it. And I'm in the first half of 20s and already scared at the rate we're losing touch with friends.

I had been to a friend's engagement sometime last week and I just remarked to another friend that how when we were studying together, 5 years back we knew what our friend's other friends are upto and now, we barely know what happening with our friends. At least some of them inform you about their impending weddings/engagements, for the others, you're left at Facebook's mercy! I dread the day when a friend would invite for for their wedding through an invite on Facebook!

Enough serious thoughts for a Sunday evening! Time to listen to A Thousand Years from Twilight again and getting lost into Twilight again :) Brings back sweet memories of the past. Craziness was fun. Anyone game for watching the series again next weekend over popcorn and girly giggles for Edward? Do send me an invite on Facebook :P

Hope reading this blog today was as good as reading this blog back in 2008-09 :) Do let me know. Can do with some ego massage :P

Some Honesty!!

Yes! I'm back with a vacuum cleaner (don't worry it's not the one that was used to deliver Mona Singh's baby in 3 Idiots!) to clean up the cob webs that my blog has accumulated over the period of two months that I haven't stopped by here! MBA is taking a serious toll on my creativity! All the creativity I know these days is creativity in leadership.... the stuff that I learn in subjects like Perspective Management and High Performance Leadership!!! *Yawnnnnn*

I saw 3 Idiots. Nice movie! And I'm sure the entire world's seen it thrice already so no point in writing a review on it! But I really feel bad for Chetan Bhagat! Not getting due credits for your book hurts, and it hurts bad!! But in some ways, I still prefer the book. It had it's own charm. Vodka, weed and Floyd on the Insti roof.... the way Alok and Neha first met (I'm now so conscious of driving with bare feet that I don't drive at all with a guy sitting next to me! Ok...ok... I'll be honest... I don't drive with a guy next to me because all the men in my life are big time chauvinists when it comes to women drivers!!) everything in the book had its own sweet charm! No wonder it follows the Twilight series in my read-more-than-once list!

Ok. Phew! Breathe in. Breathe out. Relax! The mere name of Twilight is enough for me to start hyperventilating and start talking about it Oh! Edward Cullen! There's something about this guy...err vampire that just makes you go weak in your knees! I saw New Moon which is the sequel to Twilight and I loved the movie. Though I didn't like the way the entire getting-over-Edward was shown. Methinks it happened too fast and the pain that was there in the book was missing from the movie, maybe because Kristen Stewart looked doped, stoned and sexually starved in the entire movie! I can't wait for Eclipse to come out! That would be one hell of a movie.... Edward v/s Jacob....both fighting for Bella!! Lucky bitch that girl is!! Really looking for a Jacob in my life now *wink!*

I'm so glad this entire Farmville thing has reached its saturation point!!! I remember when the frenzy was at its peak, I was getting friend requests from guys. Now for a girl, that too hot at that (so much for self love!!) getting desperate I-wanna-MAKE-frandship-with-you requests is not unheard of! But in the Farmville fever, the kind of friend requests I received said something like please-add-me-I'm-not-interested-in-frandship-I-just-want-a-neighbor-for-my-farm!! Man!! This hurt my ego real bad! Now my display pic is hotter than ever!!! But in all this social networking thing, I really feel bad for Orkut! Because of Facebook, Orkut's become like the illiterate man's Facebook!!! But I also miss taking inane quizzes on Facebook! I'm sure had they still been in demand, one of the quizzes would be like 'What Farmville Animal are you?!' or 'What would be your Farmville level when you die!'

I admit that I've been a social networking sites addict (the frequency of my status updates on Facebook would prove that), but I don't know why, I never got the Twitter bug. Methinks it's for people who are really really really jobless and to hide that joblessness, they try to attract attention!!! Which I think only shouts out loud that you're totally jobless! I admit I'm also jobless and have nothing to do, but tweeting is a waste of time!! (Ok, I'm sure you'd appreciate more honesty here.... I don't tweet because I'm too lazy to open one more website. Why take the pain when you can tweet on you Facebook status updates! See, I'm only really really jobless and not really really really jobless like those chidiyas who tweet every 5 nanoseconds!) I am so surprised to know that I have such a great fan following of people who love my status update and they wait to read it even though they understand head nor tail of it!! Time you guys form a group, 'We love Nupur's status updates!!' I promise you, I'll become a fan and will 'like' it too!! (I know, I'm in love with myself!)

Chalo, bye people, enough of being jobless, now you go back to your work and I go back to mine.... reading an entire week's Economic Times in the next 10 minutes (yes, training for CAT RC helps....anyways, at the 11th minute you reach a saturation point and can't understand anything beyond it, so why waste time!!). So I'll take your leave by giving you a piece of good news..... I, after being jolted of seeing my blogger rank fall, have returned to full time blogging..... ok, I'll be honest again, my ego's kinda hurt... think I'm getting a KT in my Communication Skills paper only because I thought it's not important to know how many lines are to left before and after the subject line and if the date and the complimentary close are to be on left for the semi-modified block or on right for modified block because according to me, communication meant getting your message delivered to your audience and them understanding it!! But who'll explain this to the Mumbai University!!! I need Baba Ranchoddas!!

Some More Nonsense

Yay!!! I finally turned 21 yipee!!! And I so want to go to Las Vegas RIGHT NOW and throw an age proof on those casino people's face! At least now, they can't shoo me away for being underage!! Yay!! I'm 21!

I finally saw a Ranbir Kapoor movie in a theatre!! Yay!! I'm so happy! Finally I saw him on the big screen!! Wake up Sid! ain't that bad a movie that everyone says it was! Of course, I have no clue about the story.... I was lost in Ranbir Kapoor!! And there was Rahul Khanna too....he's hot too! Now I wish, even I have a hot boss like him and a hotter room-mate! Then, life would be totally COOLLL!!!Ranbir Kapoor in formals is actually hotter than Ranbir Kapoor in boxers! See, I can like men fully clothed too.... they need not be shirtless and playing football for me to find them hot! Anyways, RK in that white kurta in the end getting wet in the rain and in white shirt and blue jeans was breath-taking! I had to remind myself to breathe...just like Bella had to remind herself to breathe when she saw Edward Cullen! Yes! The Twilight fever is back!!

I'm so waiting for November... 2012, New Moon (Twilight's sequel) and Ajab Prem Ki Gajab kahani releasing! Wow! TREAT for my eyes!! And Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black in New Moon is beyond HAWT!!! And APKGK looks like Andaz Apna Apna types....so I'm all in for it. And hopefully, I get people to catch one First Day First Show with me! If not, then I'm gonna force people!

Yet another post.... yet some more non-sense. People, please bear with me. I'm going through the biggest and the worst writer's block possible and can't think of anything better to write!! So till then, read this! Oh Damn.... I really need my Cell Biology lectures to get my creativity back....

P.S- How's Chetan Bhagat's 2 States.... reviews needed...

Why I'm Still Single!!!!

Reasons why I'm still single
  1. I don't wear salwar kameezes normally. So nothing like my dupatta falling on the face of the prospective boyfriend and then it sliding away slowly while he's still taking in my perfume, totally mesmerised by me.... err no, mesmerised more by the dupatta, doesn't happen!!! And, there's no slow background score playing too.
  2. Again, no chances of the dupatta getting tangled in his chain or anything else are nil! So no moments of looking-into-each-other's-eyes-while-music-plays-in-the-background.
  3. I don't wear heels....so I don't fall while walking with a lot of files with un-filed papers in them (which are almost always blank!),which would all fly in the air and then settle down due to gravity after taking their own sweet time after I fall, so again, there are no falling-and-he-coming-to-hold-me-whilst-a-slow-song-plays-in-the-background happens!!
  4. I'm always the most inconspicuous person at a wedding(still, my duur ke rishtedaar aunts are successful in locating me and bombard me with inane questions and rishtas!), so no Salman-Madhuri moment happening too in my life, pretty much because I'm too lazy to either get involved in the juta churaoing thing or to lazy to flirt with the dulha's friends/brothers!
  5. I can't get a plastic surgery done on my face which would: increase my height, increase my weight, make my voice more mellifluous isn't possible!!!
  6. Due to the fact that till now my college was just a few blocks away from my house, I never really needed to travel in a car. So, I'd have to turn down any 'do-you-want-a-lift-home' offers from prospective boyfriends, which had I accepted, would definitely lead to a road in the middle of a jungle, where there's been no civilization since the dinosaurs, in the middle of the night and suddenly the car would break down, it would get stormy and start raining, the cell phone networks would go off too, and he and I'd be forced to camp in the jungle around a bonfire, eating fruits, me wearing his jacket to protect myself from rain and cold, and then there'll be a slow song playing in the background and we'd look into each other's eyes and realise the love we have for each other!!!
  7. I don't cook, so no chances of us atta-kneading together in a very desi lift off from the Ghost!!!
  8. I'm almost always on time everywhere....so I'm never missing trains!! So, no chances of meeting a rich industrialist on the way of our catching up the missed train who'd make sure I reach home safely after I miss my train because of him (Damn! I almost missed my flight from Washington to Mumbai 2 years back!! Shit, had Jab We Met released by then, I'd have not made the efforts to run for 20 minutes like a crazy woman at the Washington airport to catch my plane!)
  9. No goondas ever chedo me when I'm with a guy...so no action scene where I'd go all spiderman, spiderman, here comes the spiderman in awe!!
  10. (* Warning: Twilight special!*) And finally, the killer-est of all ideas. Literally! Because, 1) it's never cloudy all year round, 2)leave alone having rains all year round, we don't even have rains in the rainy season here, 3) the vast human population to tempt them, 4) the lack of widlife nearby, 5) it's so freaking sunny everyday , here, in Mumbai, that there are no chances of vampires being able to thrive here! So, here goes my chances of falling in love with a vegetarian vampire like Edward Cullen! And, because there are no vampires, there are no were-wolves to protect everyone from vampires....so here goes another consolation prize chance of hooking up with someone like Jacob Black. Just imagine, having 2 guys, one Edward and other Jacob first fighting each other for you and then fighting everyone else for you....you must really be a lucky b***h!!!

P.S: This post comes out in frustration of
  1. Watching soaps right from Dill Mil Gaye, Miley Jab Hum Tum and the likes for over 6 months! (that's where the songs-playing-in-the-background idea comes from!)
  2. Writing a Shakespearean tragedy in Elizabethan english for 14 hours and then, my team-mates asking me to put some comic relief in the play because it's way too serious!!! What do I tell such people?!?

Awards!!!!!

Yipee!!! I recieved my second blog award!!! Yo!! And it came at a really good time, just when my blog was gathering cobwebs due to the lack of posts I got a chance to write something, yeah you guessed it right, writer's block on!! This award comes from Saim...! The rules are simple... you've gotta list down 10 truths about yourself and pass the award to other people who's blogs have webs of their own!

So here's my Sach ka saamna.....
  1. These days I'm dancing like a naagin to Twist from Love Aaj Kal! It's a really cool song.... though I can't make out what Neeraj Sridhar is singing..... the beats are cool!
  2. The only Y chromosome trait in me is that I hate taking a shower!!! My Mom, even today, has to push me in the bathroom to take a shower!!! But, I do take a shower everyday ... unlike the guys, how much ever I find it a waste of time and resources!!
  3. I talk a lot....and half the times, the speed at which I talk goes beyond normal human brain comprehension! And I actually fell off my chair when Mayank of Miley Jab Hum Tum was talking to Nupur, who was exceptionally quiet in that episode, "Arey, tum toh Nupur ho, phir kaise chup ho!!" True!!!
  4. I'm a die hard romantic... put love in anything, and I'll be chooo-cutttee-ing it!!! But, I hadn't read a romantic book until Twilight.....not Mills and Boons too! Because I knew, it'd mess with my brain!!! Which did happen when I started reading love stories! But now, I've learnt my lesson, and I'm off love stories now!
  5. You can't beat me in laziness. Trust me!! According to my Dad, who's always cracking jokes on my laziness, I'm the world's second most lazy person.... not the first... as I at least don't feel lazy to breathe....unlike the first person!!
  6. I can do any work on Earth and survive....but not subzi shopping!! I'd either give more money and come...or pick up the worst veggies of the lot, which are just one step from rotting....or pick up something tangentially different from something that I'm supposed to buy.... like I had once picked up methi....when my Mom sent me to get dhania!! Can you believe that I actually studied BOTANY for a year!!
  7. I had begun planning for my wedding (in my head)....thinking of my trousseu, menu, guest list, venue et al.... the week before last... because three astrologers on three different occassions in the past had predicted that I'd be getting married by 2009 end!!!!! Also, I was doing this, because I genuinely have NOTHING to do these days!! P.S: I'm NOT getting married so soon!! P.S 2: Aanchal had also started planning for my wedding!
  8. I'm 11 kgs underweight!! I'm supposed to be 54 kgs... but am only 43! Don't tell me that I don't eat! I eat a lot... it's just that there are a very few things that I'd eat without making a fuss, but if I like the food, then I'll hog! I still remember the expression on Ankita's face when she saw me eat during our IV.... it was more like "Looking at you, NOBODY can guess you eat THIS much!!" Just, better metabolism and good genes, Ankita!
  9. I'm semi-anaemic, I have low BP and my blood volume is very low.... so in short... the reason I'm gonna die is over-exertion of my heart...because the poor thing has to work doubly hard to pump blood in me!! Add to that, getting over heartaches!!! Poor heart of mine!
  10. The only reason I never took up medicine was because I'm scared of blood.... I can't see people bleed!! One day, one of my friend had come to meet me, and poor thing's tooth was bleeding for some reason.... and I actually spoke to her with my eyes closed all the while!!!

So, now I'm done!!! I'll wake up other people from their blog-slumber!
  1. Arshat...... the best Timepass on the net!
  2. Aanchal.....time she really wakes up and writes something!
  3. Dhaval......I'm always laughing reading his blogs!!!
  4. Vinod.......Chandler in real life!!
  5. Manalee...you need to get up too!
  6. Rucha......I love her sarcasms!!
  7. Kushal.... he hasn't written anything since...well...ages!!!
  8. AJ....... he got me interested in blogging and now he's disappeared!
  9. Tushar.... he writes amazing poems!
  10. Siddharth..... because it's been a millenium since he blogged!!

So wake up people!!!!!!!!!!!! Start typing!!! Accept the award....copy the picture, paste it on your blog...list down 10 truths about yourselves and pass it on to 10 different people...!!! Happy Blogging!

Nails!!!

It's one of those unusual times when my sister is wondering if she's dreaming.... because I have a nail cutter in my hand.... to cut my own nails, that too voluntarily, without any 24 hours ultimatums from Mom to cut my nails, lest they be cut by her when I'm sleeping!! I hate this! I hate my life! Why do your nails grow so beautifully till one day, and the very next day after someone's appreciated them, do they have to chip.... right where your skin's attached to it...making you go through excruciating pain while cutting it.... both physical and emotional?!? Just like the emotional trauma I feel now, when I can't absolutely say that I love Irfan Pathan.... only because Edward Cullen flashes in front of my eyes. Why God, why? Why me?? Below is a picture of my nails....before I cut them! I'm sorry if it scares the faint hearted.... it always scares my sis!!

I don't get why my family hates my nails? I've even stopped scratching my sister (after of course she bled a lot many times!!) but then nails are my only defense mechanism , given that my punches/slaps/kicks don't hurt people. They don't even hurt mosquitoes, if I were to hurt them...!! So, now till 2 months, irritate me as much as you want.. I'm defenseless!! There are a lot many disadvantages of having nails though....like not being able to open jars, drawers etc... but, you've always had the physical strength of a 2 day old, so no one expected you to be able to open these any ways! The other disadvantage that has people concluding that you're in a relationship and you've gone all the way only because you're covered in bruises and scratches every morning! They don't even have the patience to have a look at your nails....!! I always get suspicious glances from my Mom....!! She seriously needs to look at other kids to know what a Tulsi I am!!
I've also stopped doing something that's again gonna shock my family beyond imagination.... I've decided to finally stop advicing people and playing Cupid.... I have to admit that I've lost my touch.... my advices don't work anymore! I guess the human race has evolved a lot after I did my psychoanalysis on it to have a better knowledge of both the sexes!! Jokes apart, I really don't understand why do the love stories I REALLY want to work out don't.... and the ones I'm... well... not so desperate about them working out.... work...and they work like hell!!! They don't even deserve it!! So, now after seeing the heartbreak of someone whom I didn't want to see in that way ever, I've finally taken the call on not playing Cupid ever!!! My friends will have to find a new Hitch for themselves! So, now, I'll have to be happy by having only one love story to boast about. The only love story that worked because of me and leave alone being grateful, people don't even remember things, otherwise they could've given 10 minutes of listening for the 3 years of their relationship that's working!! Anyways, I was wondering if I could put this on my resume....Playing Cupid.... may work, what do you think?

I think I'm on my way of getting over Edward Cullen! Finally!! But, I still remember how my face lift up when a friend asked me who's Edward Cullen!! Seriously, this guy, Edward is something! I just can't get over him!! And he even makes appearances in my dreams and give a lot of laughing matter for my friends! I was so depressed last week, when the W key got off from my keyboard.... and I couldn't write EdWard without a W! My keyboard reminds me that I underestimate myself a lot... I'm not technologically dyslexic that I thought I was.... for I can get my printer software working even when the computer walla failed....!! I seriously can teach these computer engineers a thing or two! So now, I've got one more thing to brag about!

P.S 1: I hate Dhoni.

P.S 2: Please listen to the song Lion by Rebecca St-James. It is from Chronicles of Narnia. Although it's from this movie, it really suits the Twilight thing... Especially Edward..... he's THE LION any lamb wouldn't mind falling in love with!! Feels like I'm living in a lion's mouth, but the lion is an angel.

The Need For Twilight Rehab!!

About two things I am absolutely positive,
First, Edward is a vampire and
Second, I am unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him!

Yes, Its gone to that stage... the stage where one needs some serious rehab!! I tried to keep away from the Twilight series after I finished the last printed book, Breaking Dawn, but the withdrawal symptoms set in....and compelled me to read The Midnight Sun, the fifth unfinished book in the series which has been leaked on the net! And this half, unfinished version is the best of all the books.... because it has the entire story from Edward's point of view, which is well...... I don't know what word to use because, honestly I've never believed that a guy like HIM can exist!! Just too good to be true.... can exist only in books, movies and in your best friend's life (you can't even snatch him, Damn!!)! Bella correctly said in Twilight when Edward asks her if she's scared of him because he's a vampire... and she says, "I was wishing that I could believe that you were real. And I was wishing that I wasn’t afraid if you said you weren't!!!" I admit, I spend a lot of time on www.twilightquotes.com !! I'm just so hopeless and completely jobless too!!

There are some amazing lines from the book though.... actually one per page! But some of the absolute gems have to be

Forbidden to remember, terrified to forget
- Bella Swan in New Moon, when she's trying to get over the fact that Edward's gone forever and she can't make herself remember him and his memories... and she fears that if she doesn't remember him, she'll forget him!!

Edward : And the lion fell in love with the lamb
Bella: What a stupid lamb..
Edward: What a sick masochistic lion!

Edward: Could a dead, frozen break? I felt mine could,
When he thought that Bella'd like someone else and not him,... (only a certified loser would do that!), thinking when he was in Bella's room watching her sleep, surreptiously... not in a peeping Tom manner...but in a very cute way!
Bella: Edward... Edward... Stay please.... don't go, murmuring in her sleep, dreaming about him.
Edward: Could a dead, frozen heart beat again? It felt mine was about to, speaking to himself, not believing what he'd just heard!

But this one video takes my heart. I have to watch it every time I switch on my laptop! It's my personal brand of heroin, cocaine rather... or whichever is more potent!

If you didn't catch the words, I'd be more than glad to help you!
Bella: Everybody's staring...
Edward: Not that guy.... he just looked! Putting his hand on her shoulder, I'm breaking all the rules now since I'm going to hell!!! *My heart misses more than one beat!! *

Now, the above post for all those who haven't read the series, please do it ASAP! For the people who have, here's a checklist for you to judge if you need Twilight and Edward Cullen Rehab
  • You've read and re read Twilight
  • You're watching the videos
  • You saw the MTV awards and still like Edward and Bella inspite of the stoned/doped appearances of the lead actors!!
  • You've joined all possible fan clubs of Edward Cullen
  • You've got your friends addicted to Edward Cullen too (I've got Aanchal, Radhika, Ajay and trying to get Manshi addicted now!)
  • You've joined the Human boys have lost their charm because of Edward Cullen group in Facebook!
  • You're seriously not interested in lesser mortal guys now!
  • You try to read minds!! ( I was trying to read my sis' mind, but she thought I having a dyslexic moment registering her words!)
  • You almost ask your Mom if you could go hunting and not eat the food she cooked! ( I shudder to think what would've happened to me had I said this thought aloud in my Jain home!!!!)
  • You read the book with your mobile backlight when there's a power failure in your house at night.
  • You actually dream about Edward, Bella, the vampires and Jacob in your sleep!
  • You notice people's canines more carefully!
  • You try really really hard ot write a spoof on it, but you just can't get your thoughts coherent enough the minute your neurons register the noun Edward!! (also because you're missing the Cell Biology lectures.... as the teacher's incoherent lectures were the inspiration for all your creative articles... only if I could attend one more of her lecture, I'd write the spoof on the entire 4 book series, trust me!)
  • You think of writing your version of the continuation of the series for your best friend's upcoming birthday!! (But you can't as she has told you what suprise gift she wants from you, and damn it you've not even started anything in that area!)
  • You write a full blogpost on Twilight!!

If the answers to the above questions is in the affirmative, then you need REHAB! Come, join me! We'll think of doing something to get over Edward! Is there anyone who hates Edward...? Could you join us too.... just to make sure we get over him... and not form a fan club!!!

P.S: I'm back with a bang! Yo!!

P.S: Read the third chapter of my story here

WANTED: A Jain Vampire!

I really hope you've heard of Twilight before you read this post! For people who don't.... please wikipedia it! At least do that for Edward Cullen, for he's the new chhora of my blog now! Flavor of the season! OK, I'll save you that effort, Twilight is a book which has created a universal frenzy amongst teenage girls and even those who've quit teenage (me!). It's about a high school girl falling in love with....a vampire!! Yeah, when I first heard about it from Lucky, I thought to myself that the only books I'm now left to read is Elves' and Goblins' love stories!! But, when I started reading it, my long forgotten addiction of books returned! I actually forgot eating, sleeping and drinking while reading this book! It beats Harry Potter hands down! The narrative is amazing, the conversations are intelligently written and the romance.... man! It's fantastic!!

Edward Cullen, the vampire boyfriend of Bella Swan, can easily replace Mr. Darcy as the most sought after(and fought over) guy in fiction!! I guess that's why the book worked... because Stephanie Meyer played on a girl's psyche while writing his character....he's everything a girl would want..... he's sweet, he's caring, he's protective .... he throws himself before anything happens to Bella, always (ain't that cute?), he's intelligent, he's got a Silver Volvo... (he's rich!), he loves Bella to death (literally and figuratively), he's out-of-the-world gorgeous...... and the reason why he's so irrestible is the fact that he's forbidden!! You always want things you're not supposed to have!! I'm yet to meet one person who didn't like Edward Cullen!

But the most startling observation that missed my eyes but still managed to catch Aanchal's was the fact how freakingly similar I am to Bella!! The only three places where we differ is
·         I don't have Edward Cullen falling over me!
·         She talks too less!!!
      ·         I can never get a Mitosis slide right!!! 3/3.... NEVER!! And more never-er if someone like Edward is my lab partner... but all I've had for lab-partners have been Ajay and Aanchal! I mean how happening is that! Thanks, Ajay, for doing all the experiments by being our kaala ramu and giving Aanch and me time to talk!

Now, the places where we're similar are
·         Both of us are extremely accident prone (I used to have an accident every year from the time I was 2 till I was 11... on the same day.... 26th Jan.... the only year nothing happened to me on this day was in the year 2001..... but on this day... a lot happened to Gujarat! It's years of seeing myself being stitched up without anaesthesia that I dread blood now....and couldn't ever think of being a Doc!)
·         Both of us can't walk straight..... we have to lose our balance and trip or twist our ankles at least 3 times in 20 steps!!! (Despite this fact, I wonder how I've never had a fracture in my life!!)
·         Both of us have Time, Distance and Speed problems while playing ball!! (I remember how I'd enrolled myself for basketball classes after watching Kuch Kuch Hota Hain and used to always come home with a bleeding nose... PT was the only thing on my Xth report card showing a B grade!!)
     ·         We both love like crazy (Remember a certain IrfanPathan!!??) and
·         We're both sarcastic.....though I have mellowed down a great deal!!

I was really happy when Aanchal used to call me Bella...! But then there's no Edward Cullen in fact...they exist only in fiction.... guys like him....are myths! But, I was wondering... just in case I really get a vampire boyfriend..... how'd he be like? Definitely not non-vegetarian (the one's drinking human blood!).... Didn't I just mention I'm scared of blood..... anyways, he won't ever be able to drink my blood.... one of the few advantages of being anaemic!!! Not vegetarian too (drinking animals' blood... like the Cullens)..... Well, I'm the unofficial supporter and member of PETA! So, my vampire boyfriend should be a Jain Vampire!! The one who drinksBloody Mary!!!!! Hehaw! Howzzat?!? Virgin Bloody Mary would be more preferable! (Aanch and Lucky..... there's no way a Jain Vampire would be quenching his thirst by drinking acockroach's blood! I mean that's just so ewww...dead cockroaches lying around.... Yeah, I'm scared of dead cockroaches as well! But, seriously your logic was really pathetic.... only because veg vampire feed on animals, Jain vampires don't need to feed on insects!!!)

So, grab a copy of the book and read it asap! The movie's been released too.... but frankly speaking, the book's better.....and somehow, Robert Pattinson(Edward Cullen) was hotter in Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire as Cedric Diggory! I was sad when he died!!

P.S: I know, this post is one of the smallest.... but I'm on a talking-less spree....so .... rejoice, while I reduce talking!

P.S 2: Forbidden to remember..... Terrified to Forget...... Gosh! I wonder how mant heart breaks did Meyer go through for writing this one!!!
