Old Romances Die Hard

You know, there are phases in a person's life when one loses himself or herself in the crowd and then, later on,begins to ponder over his/her identity and individuality which had been lost. For me, reading and blogging/writing was my identity. For me it was not Cogito Ergo Sum (I Think, Therefore I am), but Bloggito Ergo Sum! And then, suddenly all this stopped! Thankfully, I started blogging some months back, but the lack of reading still shows on me! I read a couple of books intermittently but that satisfaction one gets from reading a book is missing. The want to be voluntarily socially ostracized while reading a book is missing!! And I'm so happy, that after almost 18 months I'm now back to being the voracious reader that I once was! I'm currently reading Superpower: The Amazing Race Between China's Hare and India's Tortoise and since a week, I've hardly come online and hardly received/made phone calls to people which is quite an achievement for me!! There's a different high in reading a good book....and this one is a cracker of a book...!! Life for me would be heaven if I were to be locked up in a library for the rest of my life (with a daily supply of Subway sandwiches and/or Pizza Hut pizzaz!). Who needs a man for company, when books are such un-complicated and low-maintenance substitutes and they put in some sense in your head unlike the case with men! ('Men' have become the new 'Gujjus' for me...I have to take potshots at them wherever possible!). Old romances die hard....and I just got reunited with my first love!

Talking about old romances, no matter how much people may ridicule me about liking Edward Cullen, my thing for him just doesn't go! Edward Cullen is to women what Angelina Jolie is to men.... no matter what camera angle is used, we'll never find those lips sexy and you shall never find Edward's vampirey smile sexy!!! The thing why women like him is because he's this perfect blend of a chivalrous gentleman who'd die for Bella and this living on the edge, forbidden, bad boy who'd kill for Bella (and Bella too, if the kiss would go too deep!!!) And yes, it is true, girls totally fall for bad boys. There is a totally different level of attraction at work in this case! We may not have testosterone, but we do have adrenaline! This is one reason VJ Rannvijay has done so well in his career! The entire bad boy+biker+adventure sports+piercing thing totally has women swooning for him! And I think he's the only guy who won't be stoned by the fashion police for wearing a tie and blazer over three-fourths because he carries it off so well!! Or maybe I'm the only one deeply in love with him to think like this! The only thing missing in him is tattoos. And this is taken care by Virat Kohli in the Fasttrack ads! I love this ad for sheer attitude he's throwing around although I still don't get the concept of Move On that has been adopted by Fasttrack! Virat Kohli is no Irfan Pathan for me, but he comes close to being my first cricketer crush besides Irfan Pathan in 7 years! Irfan may not be playing for India, but I still like him....Old romances die hard.....didn't I just say that!!!

Talking about old romances, I'm tempted to talk about how stunning Madhuri Dixit looks even at 45. And that smile….it still dazzles more than Edward dazzles in the sun!! And looking at her on TV makes you realize that there was a gap left when she quit acting which still hasn’t been filled. With Saawariya and Dilli 6, I thought Sonam had the acting talent, smile and dancing skills to be the next Madhuri, but now, I feel it was such an erroneous conclusion I was coming to! The ‘style diva’ and ‘fashionista’ tags have been taken rather seriously by her and she’s given them more importance than acting well! Two words that I have for Sonam are vaaydi and chaapli! And I’m still trying to figure out the English counterparts to these Gujju words! Imran Khan was right, Sonam should focus more on movies than magazine covers! Anyways, coming back to Madhuri, I feel proud of one more thing…. Microbiologists have varied talents that go beyond looking into the microscopes!

Old romances also brings up a good question on how to deal when you’re constantly being asked about your ex. Hats off to Deepika Padukone for constantly bearing it and then finally showing off her fangs on Koffee with Karan! But I still feel that silence is the best weapon, it truly is golden and dignified. And most importantly, it hits men where it hurts the most…..not the area…but the male ego! I feel that these actors act better off screen than on screen. I can’t imagine myself talking about my ex right after my break-up with a straight face on national TV without going into a trance!! And then knowing for a fact that he left you for a hotter chick! Ouch, that hurts!! I never like Deepika till now, but her appearance on Koffee with Karan has earned her one fan (and free publicity on my blog too!) She’s been strong and then handsomely rewarded too with the not so handsome looks-wise but veryyyyy handsome money-wise Siddharth Mallya! But she still is one lucky girl for sure.... one scion dumped her and she landed right in the arms of another!

Romance new or old, these days deals with lust more than love, I think! I mean celebs are openly talking about their sex lives on TV, people roam around colleges with love bites on necks….all this makes me think if I’m the only 16th century fossil around who thinks that sex is best left between two people and a closed door! And then, Indian Television is flooded with making-you-feel-sick-until-you-puke condom ads like this one! The tag-line for this brand I reckon is Excitement that she can’t hide and I feel like asking the brand manager if it’s only the woman who gets excited and not the man…and if that’s the case then I think as a part of Selling Promotions, they need to give Viagra free with the condoms!! Indians make the best ads in the world when it comes to financial products/services and insurance things but why do we suck at making condom ads? Internationally, I believe, condom ads are one of the most creative ones! Check this and this out. They’re really interesting without being vulgar or gross.

People say one never forgets his/her first love....it's true to a large extent but I think given time, one can definitely move on to such a great extent that the memories of that first love will only bring a smile on your face and make you think as to how stupid you were at that age! It is possible to get over your first love, and just like that even having a good romantic story for yourself is possible. Old romances do die hard....you should know how and when to choke it so that a new one can come :-)

P.S : For people not watching Koffee with Karan, please do some work to increase your general awareness and start watching the show. For starters, youtube the videos to know what I'm talking about!

Why I'm Still Single!!!!

Reasons why I'm still single
  1. I don't wear salwar kameezes normally. So nothing like my dupatta falling on the face of the prospective boyfriend and then it sliding away slowly while he's still taking in my perfume, totally mesmerised by me.... err no, mesmerised more by the dupatta, doesn't happen!!! And, there's no slow background score playing too.
  2. Again, no chances of the dupatta getting tangled in his chain or anything else are nil! So no moments of looking-into-each-other's-eyes-while-music-plays-in-the-background.
  3. I don't wear heels....so I don't fall while walking with a lot of files with un-filed papers in them (which are almost always blank!),which would all fly in the air and then settle down due to gravity after taking their own sweet time after I fall, so again, there are no falling-and-he-coming-to-hold-me-whilst-a-slow-song-plays-in-the-background happens!!
  4. I'm always the most inconspicuous person at a wedding(still, my duur ke rishtedaar aunts are successful in locating me and bombard me with inane questions and rishtas!), so no Salman-Madhuri moment happening too in my life, pretty much because I'm too lazy to either get involved in the juta churaoing thing or to lazy to flirt with the dulha's friends/brothers!
  5. I can't get a plastic surgery done on my face which would: increase my height, increase my weight, make my voice more mellifluous isn't possible!!!
  6. Due to the fact that till now my college was just a few blocks away from my house, I never really needed to travel in a car. So, I'd have to turn down any 'do-you-want-a-lift-home' offers from prospective boyfriends, which had I accepted, would definitely lead to a road in the middle of a jungle, where there's been no civilization since the dinosaurs, in the middle of the night and suddenly the car would break down, it would get stormy and start raining, the cell phone networks would go off too, and he and I'd be forced to camp in the jungle around a bonfire, eating fruits, me wearing his jacket to protect myself from rain and cold, and then there'll be a slow song playing in the background and we'd look into each other's eyes and realise the love we have for each other!!!
  7. I don't cook, so no chances of us atta-kneading together in a very desi lift off from the Ghost!!!
  8. I'm almost always on time everywhere....so I'm never missing trains!! So, no chances of meeting a rich industrialist on the way of our catching up the missed train who'd make sure I reach home safely after I miss my train because of him (Damn! I almost missed my flight from Washington to Mumbai 2 years back!! Shit, had Jab We Met released by then, I'd have not made the efforts to run for 20 minutes like a crazy woman at the Washington airport to catch my plane!)
  9. No goondas ever chedo me when I'm with a guy...so no action scene where I'd go all spiderman, spiderman, here comes the spiderman in awe!!
  10. (* Warning: Twilight special!*) And finally, the killer-est of all ideas. Literally! Because, 1) it's never cloudy all year round, 2)leave alone having rains all year round, we don't even have rains in the rainy season here, 3) the vast human population to tempt them, 4) the lack of widlife nearby, 5) it's so freaking sunny everyday , here, in Mumbai, that there are no chances of vampires being able to thrive here! So, here goes my chances of falling in love with a vegetarian vampire like Edward Cullen! And, because there are no vampires, there are no were-wolves to protect everyone from vampires....so here goes another consolation prize chance of hooking up with someone like Jacob Black. Just imagine, having 2 guys, one Edward and other Jacob first fighting each other for you and then fighting everyone else for you....you must really be a lucky b***h!!!

P.S: This post comes out in frustration of
  1. Watching soaps right from Dill Mil Gaye, Miley Jab Hum Tum and the likes for over 6 months! (that's where the songs-playing-in-the-background idea comes from!)
  2. Writing a Shakespearean tragedy in Elizabethan english for 14 hours and then, my team-mates asking me to put some comic relief in the play because it's way too serious!!! What do I tell such people?!?

Haven't Got The IQ To Name This One!

I feel so cut off from the blogosphere and my blog these days! Trust me, I deleted 6 first paras already!! I don't know how I want to begin! I'm irritated with the social networking sites too. I acquiesce with Lucky... Orkut, really is for stalkers and perverts, and also for people who have the IQ of Paris Hilton to not understand Facebook!!! Facebook, too, after a time, gets boring.... I mean, come on for how long are you gonna keep taking stupid quizzes that prove that you do have the IQ of PH, even though you do understand Facebook. (Yeah, I still take these quizzes....like you had to doubt if my IQ was anything great!!). I joined Twitter too. But I fail to understand why people call it the 'next big thing'. I don't see it like that...it's just about okay... !!

So, what do you do when you're bored of all these social networking sites? You switch on you TV and hope there's something watch-able being aired on TV. But, unfortunately all you can see is people eating worms, insects and other reptiles and arthropods, or bathing in a bikini...actually 'bikini' is also a very heavily clothed term for what those celebs wear.... or people being truthful. Let's begin with Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao.... It's the crassiest show on TV today. Period. I'm not gonna write more on it. I think, that the sets of Sach Ka Saamna should have a divorce lawyer and a police inspector on their sets...it'll make things easier for the participants and the society at large. I feel bad for the participants... they don't get anything if they miss one right answer.... they ruin their marriages and don't even get the money....not even of the levels they clear.....tch tch...! I used to really love MTV and Channel V....but all I can see there are the re-runs of Splitsvilla, Teen Diva or the Stunt Mania.... And Channel V's Xhausted is just pissing off. Why people participate in these shows is beyond my IQ! These shows are at least bearable... try watching Bindass' Dadagiri..... trust me, you'll my mentally marred forever! It beats me why there can't be more shows like Dance India Dance and India's Got Talent. The latter is by far the best show since Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai got over. Though, I'm really looking forward to Farah Khan's new show starting today.

And, if you're still alive and bored after all this, you can spend some time downloading songs. I spent an unbelievable 3 hours downloading What's Your Rashee's music....13 songs!! Only to hear songs like Su Che! Trust me, I'd rather listen to Himmesh on repeat!!! Till now, I always felt the lack of songs that have Gujju words in them... but, if songs are gonna be like Su Che.... then, please spare me horror!!!! Please use Punjabi in Hindi songs...the combo suits... Gujarati in Hindi songs make you feel like throwing up! Try imagining Mauja hi Mauja in Gujarati....! Deadlier than H1N1. Now, there are only 3 songs I liked in the entire WYR album... Jao Na (superb song!! I guess it's gonna rule the charts!), Bikhri Bikhri and the title song. The music of Wake Up Sid, just like it's lead actor is HOTTT! Amazing music. Be it the title track or Kya Karoon or Iktara... the entire album is super duper cool! (It's not Ranbir's love that's making me write this!). More Saiyyan from Tere Sanng is also a nice one. But the songs of the season have to be Aahun Aahun and Yeh Dooriyan!!!

So, the best bet to beat boredom still remains social networking sites...!! Am off to Facebook now, taking more quizzes and irrtating everyone on my friend list by my incessant status updates... yeah, I'm too lazy to switch tabs and use Twitter for microblogging!!! Yeah, Facebook reminds me of this status update one of my friend has put up and it says... Behind every beautiful girl is a dumbass guy who did her wrong and made her strong!!! I couldn't disagree more!!! I'll leave you with this noble thought...till next time, listen to Jao Na... (never mind the Baweja boy and PC's weird pout!)

For The Sake Of It....!!!

Sorry for the wrong alert on Facebook that I'm off blogging! Well, actually I have nothing to blog about... but still, considering that it's a good way to feel good, I'm back to blogging! My friend Dhaval suggested I watch some TV and I'll have plenty of stuff to write about. So I thought, why not give it a shot. He suggested I watch Aaj Tak... but sorry, I can watch Rakhi Ka Swayamvar's back to back episodes on weekends... but Aaj Tak... is well.... urrgghh!!

When you switch on TV these days, there's not much to watch. Now that Roadies has ended, MTV has come up with crappier shows than Spiltsvilla! (It's a misconception that I like the show, but the truth is that I despised it!). There's this twin-show and I couldn't watch it for more than a second after I saw Nauman in it! There's not one girl with a good face on the F1 wala show! Seriously, what's with today's girls? I pity the guys, seriously!! I know good face is not a criteria for being a good human... but the bitching.... for what?!! Seems like people have a lot of time on their hands! The Tickr also is not funny these days!

Even the ads suck! Try watching the Harpic ads to know what I mean! I saw this Fair and Lovely ad... a girl uses the cream, becomes a couple of shades lighter and instantly get into a good college or something. No wonder, Aanchal got into MBA and I didn't.... she's a couple of shades fairer than I am! Damn! I should've used FnL before my GD-PIs! Just kidding! She got in because she worked harder! But what are people thinking when they make ads? And that other ad about that guy coming all the way to personally say Sweet Dreams to his girlfriend.... seems cute at first... but then, why not take a better looking guy!?

Coming to movies.... Well, Imran Khan's back with Luck. It's all action in this one it seems. Shruti Haasan is kinda pretty.... but what is Ravi Kissen doing in this movie? With Sanjay Dutt, somehow, I have an apprehension that this movie will go the Kidnap way! But nonetheless, with Irfan deciding to get married, I have to look for greener pastures elsewhere, so I'll be one of the people watching this movie in its first week! And yeah, Imran is looking hot!! Any guy would... if he were to jump from helicopters!!

Chalo, I'll go and read the backlog of blogs I've not read since a week..... Till my next post (which is a short love story.... don't worry, it'll get over in one post...I won't drag it for chapters and chapters on end!!) keep reading and commenting.... I go into a depression when no one comments!!! Yeah yeah.... adulation is addictive!!!

Wretched Luck....!

"Jab dil hi tut gaya....toh jee ke kya kare.... jab dil hi tut gaya...." " Na koi umang hain, na koi tarang hain.... meri zindagi bas ek kati patang hain.." "Kya se kya hooooo gaya tere pyaar main" and my favourite of all of them, "Dil ke armaan aasuon main beh gaye!!!" These are the only songs playing on my iPod since Lucky broke the news of IRFAN PATHAN getting MARRIED to his girlfriend.I HATE MY LIFE and MY WRETCHED LUCK!

Girlfriend!!! When did that happen?? The papers say they first met in 2003.... precisely the time when I first saw him! And she's not even pretty! She's fat! Yeah, do you get the point now, that I DON'T like her! Dil ke armaan aasuon main beh gaye.... Couldn't he find someone better? Like me? (Don't laugh... I may not be as pretty as Ash or hot as Jessica Alba.... but I'm definitelty not FAT at least!) {Nothing wrong in being fat, I infact love fat people (sacchi, God Swear... eww...I need to stop spending all my free time with 8 year olds!) ... I'm just finding an excuse not to like Shivangi Dev}

Only when I think that the color of the mehendi that I've put on my hands is the darkest of dark browns making me think that someone somewhere is madly in love with me (lifted straight from Dil Toh Pagal Hain), I come to know that Irfan's hooked! I was sad all day because of it.... until Aanchal called up and gave a proof of why I love her so much! She said that Irfan's Dad has apparently said that Irfan won't get married until Yusuf doesn't get married!!! I almost touched my ceiling with the jump I jumped with joy.... and considering the fact that I'm just five two (fine, I'll be honest... five one and a half!), that was some jump! And I so hope that Yusuf doesn't get married soon!!! How selfish can I get!! By the way, you should've seen the show Aaj Tak had for Irfan Pathan... it was funnier than 16 guys fighting to woo and marry Rakhi Sawant (again, what's wrong with lesser mortals like me?)

If you thought that my wretched luck got over, you got it wrong.... I can beat anyone in this department (Ajay is not allowed to compete with me, his luck is worse than mine!) a movie that I've making for almost 2 weeks for my nana-nani's 50th wedding anniversary to be played in front of a 150-odd people at the party, refuses to play! And I almost say the F word due to utter exasperation in front of my family... then managing to make it sound like Freak later! God alone knows how I remade it in 20 minutes again! And people loved it, so mission accomplished.... so at the end of it, I earned 550 bucks for it, for practically nothing...and already have 2 more movies to make for some relatives! I can make money from this now!

C'est la vie!!

P.S: It's Aanchal's birthday tomorrow and apparently, I'm more excited about it than her!! Aanch... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

P.S 2 : Read my story... the links are on the right side above the Edward Cullen slide show

I'm Back Again!

I just simply refuse to believe this!!! Aanchal posted a blog post before I did.... and I'm supposed to be the 'blogger' of the group. Yeah OK, I admit I was plain lazy to sit in fronta my lappy(my laptop's pet name)and waste the day typing. Yeah, I feel lazy to even blog! I guess there should be a new invention.... -mindblogger.... this device blogs a thought the minute your neurons come up with it... you don't need to type... no need to spell check... thoughts don't have spellings!!! Hehaw!! I'm already pestering my engineer sis to do something like this... but everytime she plain refuses saying that "Engineers are engineers.... not servants of sloths like you!" Lazy... well.... this is one thing wherein I can beat anyone. Anyone...I'm sure my parents and Aanchal will agree!

Leave laziness... what I can't believe is that my EXAMS are over!! I'm sure my friends will agree. Imagine starting  studying for your board exams just a month before your exam. Engineers, please don't say that you do that all the time... you study just one sem... we did two sems in a month... and we had just a day off before the paper!! I measured ...the height of my notes was 2 feet!!!! Studying that in a month.... studying pathways with the name of a compound being Undecaprenyl pyrophosphate UDP-N-acetly muramyl acid with B(4-1) linkage-N-acetly glucosamine with pentaglycine ring. Yeah, that's just ONE compound in a pathway of 18 steps... and the worst part is that the question paper doesn't even feature this question after you've spent 3 hours doing just one subtopic of a chapter...with 3 chapters in a unit... 4 units in a paper...6 papers...and only one holiday for the paper... we need a honorary prize for atleast finishing off the portion!!! It was a miracle how our asses got saved.... the miracle will remain one only till the results are out.... which are definitely not gonna paint a happy picture! There were days when I thought I wouldn't even as much as pass... but now I reckon, I'll pass(except paper1) and finally my Dad will look for a new pet name for me and not call me by the old one - Center Fresh because of that Jubaan-pe-lagaam-lagaata-hain-haathon-pe-nahi ad! (Sorry, tried to upload the video, but its not getting done... I wasn't lazy... not this time!)

Huh! Exams had taken a toll on my TV watching sensibilities.... not that they were great before the exams.... watching stupid soaps has always been a guilty pleasure! I know, I have a tremendous patience for nonsense... the upper limit is 4 years!! So had started watching

Ok... I'm bored now... I wanna watch the remaining 4 episodes of 90210.... and laze around a bit more... ! Urgghhh... vacations are getting boring.... guess I'll start studying for the October wala Paper 1 exam...! I can see a red line in my future... BTW my lost hatred for maths is back.... with a 16 marks bang.... bloody I HATE maths... Biostats.... why couldn't you ask chi square... why did you ask T-test?!??

P.S:  Be prepared for a full on bombardment of posts from now!
Kitani Mohabbat hain.... because the love story had started... and also because the girl in the show is really pretty (there's a serious dearth of hot guys around... this is the first time I'm mentioning that a girl is pretty on my blog!! I needed rehab from love... but not like this!!!) and the guy... well, he's so expressionless that my pen gives more expressions of shock and awe on looking at the question paper and the corresponding answers I make it write!! (more shock than awe!). So, Aanchal, heave a sigh of relief, I stopped watching the show....finally! The love story has gone kaput and so has my interest... so am back to watching 90210... saw 7 episodes in one day!! Again, in this show the dame is pretty...!! (freak!! I need REHAB!!!)
I dunno why, but I, a die hard IPL fan.... am feeling that IPL is really boring this year. Partly because maybe of the 3 people for whom I supported Mohali, 2 are not there this time... and secondly, somehow, I feel that the fizz out of Aanchal and my Chennai-Mohali wars has fizzled out... I don't feel like fighting anymore! Aanch, we need to start fighting man...!

I'm thinking of writing a new story.... a love story, as usual...I'm a sucker for love stories...(why do you think I saw KMH.... I can even watch Uday Chopra romance Rakhi Sawant..... guess he should participate in her
swayamvar.....she can then become a YRF heroine..and we'll get to see the couple romancing in the Alps... gosh... the thought is eerie!!)!! Will open a new blog for that.... but then I might jettison the plan if I feel too lazy.... It's time some 'good' inventions take place! Sloth...it's gonna take me down!

Of Marriages and No Marriages!!

Now one thing a girl can do after 20 and a dozen or more rejections from B-schools or any PG courses that a guy can't do is.... GET MARRIED! Yeah, finally, nature is positively biased towards us girls! No, I haven't been rejected by a dozen B-schools.... itni bhi mand nahi hoon yaar! But, I've had enough of studying! Since that fateful day when I fought with Mom to take Science (Mom, a science double-grad herself begged and begged me to take Commerce...but those were the days when you considered Commerce people as 'lesser mortals' only to switch fields after 5 years !!) I don't really remember having a vacation to myself... except the one in FY....but that was in 2007!! Every vacation, my other friends think of where to go out and holiday... and I think about which new classes to join....every vacation!(This vacation...its Taekwondo.... gotta fight for yourself and stand up for yourself.... don't expect people to do it for you!) So this year, finally after screwing up almost everything....TY...MBA... everything, I decided that the best thing would be to get married!

P.S:  If my kid (son, if) pick up books....he's gonna have it....he'll have to pick up the bat and sweat it out in the sun....and beat Aanchal's son in getting the jersey no 11!! Aanch, you still game right? You dare name your kid Ayaan!

Its just so frustrating having slogged your ass off to get where you are, still you are nowhere! And this bloody f**king recession has to hit mankind only when you are passing out.... Firstly the wonderful BSc degree, secondly B-schools expect work-ex from you and thirdly recession...how on Earth are you gonna have a job?? So in this scenario, the best thing would be to get up and tell your parents...okay, fine... I'm a graduate (hopefully...please God, get me passed..please... or I'll be known as an HSC pass all my life....and my kids will mock at me.... what if someone writes on their hand "Tumhari maa sirf 12vi pass hain"??!)...so now, I don't really have much to do in life...so find a good, handsome, rich guy and get me married...!! Even they'll dance in joy finally being able to get rid of you!

I've been talking to a lot of people who have developed this get-me-married-off-for-mental-peace thing...and all of them seem to be somehow excited by the institution of marriage! Because they've been to their cousins' weddings and have had a little more than a crush on their jiju's brother/best friend/any random from the baraat....or they're plain frustrated with life... or maybe because they've become so attention starved due to all the attention going to recession/terrorism/elections/Slumdog Millionaire these days that this is the only way to get noticed!! Well, I fall into the second category, if you were wondering!

Ok, fine, jokes apart... I'm not getting married! Neither do I want to... not right now...maybe after 4 years... that's the max time I can get (bloody Gujju systems). I had just gotten acclimatised with the wonderful I'll-too-get-married-one-day feelings and bang... new twist in tale.... again, I've gone back to my -urrghhhh-I-don't - wanna get married stance! First reason was that I saw the episode of Balika Vadhu where Sugna's husband comes a dead body for her wedding and she's totally distraught by it. Man! I don't really watch these soaps.. but was watching it because I was feeling too lazy to change the channel (hey, all you engineers, can't you invent a remote where channels change the moment we think about changing the channel in our head??)and I must say, I had tears in my eyes in that one episode...it was really sad. And I also told one of my friends..what if my husband dies like this?? Yeah...I got a lot of Stop-watching-soaps lectures for this dialogue of mine!! But trust me the thought of it is creepy...! I mean, all your life, you wait for that one person...that one day...it comes to you...but DEAD! Gosh!
I know, I seriously need rehab!

The second reason was Arshat's blogpost... on daughters getting married! I mean not fair yaar!!! You made me change my mind about getting married....ever!!

Another reason you don't feel like getting married is because you've come face to face with the worst characteristics of guys.... their huge... Petrona's Tower sized EGO! I mean WTF! Done nothing worthwhile in life...but have ego like you're Obama! But good, you learn things before it's too late.... Sometimes even 10 minutes is too much to ask for...so much for EGO...I say.... go f**k your ego... it'll be good for you! Again, Arshat had said in one of his posts... Like every other guy...he blamed her...and like every girl in love...she took all the blame...! So true!! Girls have a tremendous limit to endure things...but why do guys stretch it to the limit...and then after 6 months, come begging for forgiveness?!? Have they never taken Shakespeare seriously.... Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned? Guess, now they should.

Anyways, I got a very good observation from a friend, who too, like me wants/wanted to get married asap! .... Girls make such a fuss about leaving their homes and getting married to a guy... think about the guy...having to take such a huge responsibility of a whole woman..at an age...where they're not even responsible for their towel!! LMAO! Aanch, how does it feel finally having me using your creations?!??

Ah! So after 30 mins of mindless typing, I realize I've written anything but coherent, sensible stuff...so don't really read unless you're jobless and have nothing to do(in that case...can you please finish off making chits for me to take to the exam hall?) or are plain frustrated having antigens and antibodies/drosophila/restriction endonucleases/genetics ruling your life, read on!. If you've read it, have a heart and comment!

P.S:  I'm NOT getting married before I'm 24....that's a cool 4 years from now.

P.S 2:  Listen to Aankhon hi Aankhon from the movie EMI. Mohit Chauhan has never been better!!
Bas Yeh Tamanna Hai Dil Jo Apna Hai, Usko Mil Jao Tum ....

When You're Happy and You Know Clap Your Hands....

Clap. Clap. Clap. Clap........ I can go on clapping till the end of this millennium. Reason? Simple.... Campusjunkie.com's temporary working site has come up. A few of my articles are there. It's not the first time I'm on a website... I've been blogging since March, so I'm technically present on the WWW, but this CJ thing gives me a different high. A feeling of accomplishment. A feeling that ...yes...there's something that I love doing and can do well! And the biggest thing is that I don't get bored doing it, which normally is the case whenever I start and do something for sometime. Been writing since the past 5 years, and truly loving it!! My name is finally immortalized in the pages of cyber space!! I'll post the actual CJ link when the actual website is launched. Please read, comment and rate my articles! Even Manalee's article has come there, so more claps!

Another reason to go clap clap is that I've realised that old romances die hard. It's an age old aphorism, but I've always been a slow learner! Yeah, I just caught the new Hero Honda ad... yeah the same one which is just 5 seconds shorter than Jodhaa Akbar in length. And it also has Akbar! And guess who's also there.... my old crush... IRFAN PATHAN.... yay!! Seen him after ages.... must've been at least half a light year since seen him last in IPL. My heart skips a beat even today when he lights up the screen. And he's gonna be dancing too! There's this new show on Colors ... Ek Khiladi, Ek Hasina... and Irfi baby is one of the participants in the show. In this show, one cricketer is paired with one actress. They dance and hopefully not fall in love with each other, are judged, do not play cricket and let the Aussies make a kachumbar out of them yet again, and well entertain us. Me, to be precise!

The show is judged by one of my favourites.... (I really have to make a list of people, guys actually, whom I've not liked.... ), Wasim Akram! So one more reason to watch this show. Sreesanth is also there, so no prizes for guessing who's gonna win this one. It'll be the first time in the history of reality TV that Nupur will be voting!!! Yeah.... I'm gonna vote for Irfan and you guys also do, please! Somehow, I feel that Irfan is as good as I am in dancing, so he'll need your votes... please vote for Irfan. Cheer for Irfi.... Give me an I....give me an R... Give me an F.... Give me an A... annnnnnnnnnnddddd give me an N!!! At this rate, I can definitely apply for cheerleader's post for next year's IPL. But then, who wants to see a cheerleader who dances the "Happy Feet" dance??!!

Vijender, the cute boxer, is in talks to participate in Nach Baliye 4... Clap.Clap.(Yuvi is there in EKEH..... no clap.No clap.). I'll watch it for him. Only his performance amongst all other losers. And no, I won't vote for him. My last name ain't Ambani or Mittal.

The papers are saying that Brett Lee is getting divorced. Not a reason to clap. I really like that chap and his wife. Sad thing to happen. So no claps. Thank God Imran Khan is not married. I'd be sad for his break up too........ Sachhi yaar! Not believing me? I don't blame you!

Aanchal took away one clapping moment from me! The other day, it was Neha's birthday, so I called her up to wish, and going by my compulsive talking habits, spoke for nearly 2 hours..... 58 minutes from my cell!!! Next day she's telling me that last day due to some technical glitches in Vodafone, the entire billing thing had shut down. I actually did a victory jig in the midst of JP's lecture, just looking at my lucky stars! But then she said, that the glitch was in the evening and not at midnight! Stupid Vodafone and stupider stars of mine and stupidest lecture I was left to bear!

I'm finally out of this love shit! It feels so nice. I feel like slapping who over comes up to me and says, "Don't worry, there's someone for you too". Bullshit. I don't want anyone! I'm happy alone.... happy single. At least I have time for friends staying like this. At least I don't have to make promises only to break them later on! So one more reason to clap.

The most important reason to clap... is that I've finally started studying izzat se! Yippee... Hope it wasn't just a one day thing!

I've been clapping incessantly since the past half hour, and have lost count of the mosquito genocide I committed, so I'll go and follow some ahimsa in life now! It's raining like dogs and cats and RATS (IK in JTYJN!!.... Wish it rained IK!!) so just hoping I'd be relieved of tomorrow's 7 o clock practicals. Please God...!

It's Jaane Tu again

For people who are sick of my Jaane Tu posts, please blame Ankit, for this post. He was the one who gave me the movie Jaane Tu on my pen drive, which, needless to say, I saw for the second time. Yes. I've seen Jaane Tu only two times. I'm in love with the movie all over again. I know, I saw Rock On!! just two days back, and I have CAT in 2 months, which again needless to say is doomed!

I've promised myself that from today, I'll not watch any movies and will blog less. I can see so many people heaving a sigh of relief at the latter part of my statement! May the Force be with me.

I can't help but talk about Jaane Tu... It's so cute!! Even though my Dad feels that Aamir bluffed the audience by serving an old product packaged attractively! But who cares when the packaging is soooooo cute! Just check out the way his shirt flutters when he's on the horse. I can remember Mansh horrified at the sight of me, who normally is a very quiet movie watcher, jumping and clapping during the horse wala scene! And what a way to propose man!! Wow!! Singing and proposing always works!! Wink wink!!

I never knew that all "Bombay" things were changed to "Mumbai". I mean I knew those fanatics were wanting to do it, but had no idea people gave in! Bombay Blue has become Mumbai Blue.... !! Gosh! It has lost it's charm! Now that we are at Bombay Blue, Í'd like to mention that I finally had Nachos in my life, and surprise suprise, I liked it... I mean it was good!! And had pasta for lunch and dinner..... and I'm still alive, so this proves that cheese and pasta do not kill!! Finally my hatred for cheese is reducing! This is India TV's headline for tomorrow!! This also reminds me of the way Aanchal started laughing when she read that 16th Oct is World Food Day. Meaning that on my birthday is a day that I would not celebrate. Food. Haha! I mean this is the irony of the decade man!

India TV reminds me that how I've stopped believing them. Even when they show actual news! They were showing this thing about the Big Bang experiment and how everything could get destroyed and stuff. I saw it and chucked the matter thinking it's another piece of shit until I heard almost everyone discussing it the next day. For a minute I thought that everyboydy's gone mad to discuss India TV at 7 in the morning, but later I realised that it's an actual REAL thing!! See, this is what happens when they cry WOLF..... Apocalypso, actually!

I'll wind up this post before I start talking about Imran again. But still, Tera mujhse hain pehle ka naata koi, yuhi nahi dil lubhata koi..... JAANE TU..... YA JAANE NA..... maane tu, ya maane na!!
